This is a fairly new area of work for us. There are many ideas of what a "green" building should be but here in California we now have a "green" code to use as a guide. There are many new requirements for new construction to comply with and everyone in the trade is trying to cope with the new code.
As a means of educating our firm on the new requirements we have joined the USGBC-IE - United States Green Building Council Inland Empire chapter. We are in the process of getting our LEED certification to provide our clients with the latest and best practices in sustainable construction.
